Peppermint Salt Scrub – DIY

Yesterday, I showed you how to make delicious Christmas treats for your loved ones. Today, thanks to Mr. Kate, is a recipe for a homemade peppermint salt scrub, perfect for any special lady in your life (mom, grandma, aunt, best friend, mail carrier, etc.).

This DIY scrub is super easy to make, very moisturizing and won’t spoil (sea salt is antimicrobial). I added a little note on each bottle with instructions for use (for those unfamiliar with exfoliation) 1. shake 2. use in shower or bath 3. suitable for use everywhere but face.

With the cold, dry air this season, you’ll definitely want to keep one for yourself!

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 cup sea salt
1/2 cup oil of your choice (I used olive oil)
Food coloring
Essential oil (I used peppermint)
Container(s) (I used diffuser jars from a box store)
Cork(s) (A good excuse to drink more wine!)

Combine salt and oil and stir. Add food coloring and a few drops (about 10) of essential oil. Place into container of your choice and say goodbye to dry skin!
